RTMS have a power sensor that can simply clip around a power cable to either monitor the power of a specific piece of equipment or indeed at the main power feed into a location to monitor the single or three phase power as a whole.
The data gathered from these power sensors can be viewed in very fine detail which allows for each piece of electrical equipment being used to be seen and identified.
The historic information will allow for changes to be made which will save money.
